AS early as 1985, when Bro. Bo Sanchez started establishing the Media arm of his ministry, his editorial consultant already saw the need to establish a Light of Jesus Library to properly file, index, and preserve his writings, the stories and pictures of the activities and various evangelization missions  of the Light of Jesus.

      At the time, putting up a Library building, not even a room, was out of the question because Bo and everyone’s priority— and rightly so— was to establish prayer meetings to spread God’s Word of unconditional love to as many as they can reach.

     The idea of a Library came up again when The Feast started the Feast Media Ministry which covered the Sunday Feast led by Bo, and published The Feast bulletin which  included Bo’s talks, the Mass homilies, testimonies of attendees, as well as the activities of the various Feast ministries.

      The Feast has to be published the Monday right after Bo’s Sunday Feast so that it may be shared with other Feast being held during the week throughout the country and abroad.

        As materials for the weekly bulletin — especially the Feast pictures— filed up, it  became necessary to make an index of the files for easy, quick retrieval when the staff are beating the Monday deadline.

        The staff did make some form of indexing procedure but soon, it became necessary that the job be done by professionals.

        Thus the Feast Media Ministry then created a sub-ministry, the Library Ministry, and called for  volunteer professional librarians to handle the ministry.

           By God’s grace, a number of professionals came forward and started the now big job of fulfilling the dream Light of Jesus Library.

           In 2014, Bro. Bo appointed Bro. Hermie Morelos, president of the Shepherd’s Voice media groups, to oversee the establishment of the Library.

           And finally, there is now a room at the Light of Jesus headquarters as initial facility for the Light of Jesus Library.
